As the NHS came under immense pressure to protect people from the virus and keep the spread of COVID-19 under control, SAFECROWDS stepped in to help ensure safety and security at various testing sites across the country.
Our role was to ensure high-pressure operations ran smoothly, while also controlling the spread of the virus. It was clear that people were concerned about their health, and, with emotions running high, it was essential that trained NHS personnel could do their job as safely and efficiently as possible. With rules and restrictions in place, and varying levels of acquiescence from members of the public, our security deployments were an essential safety element of the testing locations, for both staff and patients.
Highly skilled SAFECROWDS security personnel were deployed to support red zone (positive) testing staff and manage traffic flows into, through and out of key testing locations nationwide, as well as supporting inventory staff, who managed essential supplies; a vital aspect of tackling the pandemic.
Speaking of SAFECROWDS’ pivotal role in supporting the UK’s fight against COVID-19, our CEO and Founder, Rory McGoldrick said: “We are proud of the meaningful impact we had in safeguarding public health and supporting essential operations nationwide during the pandemic.
“The initiative reflected a proactive approach to addressing the multifaceted requirements of the pandemic response, showcasing how we can adapt and rise to the occasion during unprecedented times.”
“Our commitment to supporting the national effort during COVID-19 demonstrates our proactive approach to adapting our remit to meet the nation’s needs and support complex, widespread initiatives, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our own teams. No challenge is too big for SAFECROWDS, and we are ready to apply our substantial expertise, knowledge, and skills to future critical projects.”
