The RB50 is a moveable HVM barrier, which is ideal for rapid deployment to protect road closures and prevent access to protected areas.
A galvanised steel hostile vehicle mitigation system which can be assembled and installed by trained operatives in just five minutes, the RB50 offers robust protection against vehicle attacks and vehicular incursions. Designed for ease of deployment, the HVM system is installed in as-tested four-metre arrays, and can be moved quickly and easily by authorised personnel to enable rapid vehicular access, reconfiguration, or removal as required.
When not in use, RB50 can be stored in specially designed, space-efficient stillages for safety and convenience.

RB50 Moveable HVM Barrier Installation
The RB50 moveable HVM barrier is a scalable, modular system that can be configured to suit any hostile vehicle mitigation requirement, but it is usually deployed in as-tested 4m arrays, in either a linear or a chicane configuration.
The units are assembled on site by trained SAFECROWDS operatives, and wheeled into position. The integral wheels are then disengaged to secure each HVM array in position.
A surface-mounted HVM system, suitable for installation on virtually any surface, the RB50 can be set aside or reconfigured quickly and easily, making it ideal for deployments where rapid installation, timely de-rigging, and flexibility are key criteria.

RB50 Moveable HVM Barrier Performance
Tested and certified to IWA 14-1:2013 and PAS 68:2013 standards, the RB50 is often used to complement traffic management installations, protecting pedestrians during road closures. This includes deployments such as street parades, Zone Ex, ingress/egress at events, marathons and 10K races, organised protests, and public realm events.
The HVM system’s versatility also makes it an ideal hostile vehicle mitigation barrier for scenarios where protection needs to be installed, removed and reinstated at multiple times and/or in multiple locations during the course of a single deployment.
The fully portable HVM system can be transported to site in small commercial vehicles, making it suitable for sites where there are access restrictions and adding to the cost-effectiveness of this hostile vehicle mitigation solution.
