Installation

The RB002-40’s shallow foundations enable cost-effective installation of this HVM rising bollard system at a fraction of the cost of traditional rising bollards, without cutting corners on performance and protection.

The HVM system is operated using an 18v cordless drill, so no mains power connections are required. This supports ease of maintenance of the bollards and maximum adaptability across locations.

The RB002-40 system has been tested for installation as a single, standalone HVM bollard, so it does not need to be installed in an array. This makes the RB002 a very versatile HVM security solution that can be quickly deployed in various settings to provide effective hostile vehicle mitigation while maintaining accessibility for pedestrians and authorized or emergency vehicles.

Performance

The RB002-40 HVM bollard system has been crash-tested to withstand impacts from vehicles of up to 7.2 tonnes travelling at up to 40mph at 90 degrees. This system is an ideal HVM solution for the public realm, with applications ranging from shopping centres and airports, through to government buildings, stadia, and critical infrastructure.

The HVM bollard’s steel mechanism and manual operation ensure that the RB002-40 system remains low maintenance throughout its service life and each unit can be repaired quickly and easily if damaged due to vehicle impact.
