Designed and manufactured by leading HVM specialist, SafetyFlex, Crash Blocks are surface-mounted defensive walls that provide effective HVM protection against vehicle attacks and incursions. Crash Blocks are rated at 48kph at 90 degrees and at 64kph at 90 degrees with a 7.5 tonne truck into the front face of the block. They are also rated for a 18 tonne (G.V.W) truck at 80kph at 90 degrees into the end face of the block. These ratings were achieved with tests carried out using the same block.
Suitable for use as either a temporary or long-term HVM solution, Crash Blocks are also bulletproof. This provides an extra dimension of protection in the event of a terror attack, by enabling the HVM to double up as a bulletproof refuge.
Designed for speed and ease of installation, the Crash Blocks HVM system can be deployed in virtually any environment – including uneven surfaces. The system can also be customised, with branding, decorative covers, or as part of the urban landscape.

Crash Blocks Installation
Our trained and experienced installation teams can deploy Crash Blocks in just a couple of hours, with no requirement for any ground fixings. For Crash Blocks HVM installations on soft ground, we use anti-sink mats, which can withstand 50 tonnes of weight.
We can configure your Crash Blocks to your specific HVM requirements. With each block measuring 870mm high and 2000mm wide, we can deploy Crash Blocks as single, standalone units, or configure multiple blocks to provide an HVM installation tailored to the needs of your event or location. The HVM system can also be stacked to provide extra height, or deployed in an array to fit the width of different ingress and egress points.
When the HVM system is no longer required, our trained teams can remove the Crash Blocks, leaving behind no damage or mess.
Crash Blocks Performance
Crash Blocks are an exceptionally versatile HVM system, which can be deployed to support lockdown protocols, as well providing a solution for perimeter protection and access management regimes.
Ease and speed of installation means that the Crash Blocks HVM system can be reconfigured as required and removed quickly and easily between deployments. A scalable HVM system that can be installed in a variety of configurations, including as a single unit, Crash Blocks not only provide an effective HVM solution for any environment, but an aesthetic response too. We can tailor you Crash Blocks to your event or environment, offering an attractive installation that delivers robust, bulletproof hostile vehicle mitigation.
