Crowd Safety Manager

As a Crowd Safety Manager at SAFECROWDS Limited, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the behaviour and movement of crowds during large-scale events to ensure the safety and security of everyone at the event. You will work closely with our experienced security team, as well as the event organisers and emergency services.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Develop comprehensive crowd management plans that are tailored to each event, considering event layout, expected attendance, and potential risks.
  • Implement crowd control measures such as crowd barriers, signage, and designated entry/exit points as required by the crowd safety strategy.
  • Oversee the deployment of a team of experienced SIA Licensed staff and stewards to ensure that they consistently uphold the highest standards of customer service and safety.
  • Work closely with the crowd safety team to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and event-specific policies.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure the effective implementation of crowd safety management strategies, including emergency service, local councils, event organisers, etc.
  • Deliver effective briefings to the Security Team Leaders and crowd safety teams to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Responsible for effective communication between the company, the client, and the team to ensure all information is cascaded effectively.
  • Ensure that your team conduct all of their duties diligently and in accordance with relevant SIA regulations.
  • Maintain constant vigilance to identify potential threats, unauthorised entry, or suspicious behaviour, and take the necessary actions to address them.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all incidents are managed effectively, and that reports are written up accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the effectiveness of crowd management strategies and identify areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid front-line SIA Door Supervisor License.
  • Level 5 in Crowd Safety Management OR Level 4 Certificate in Spectator Safety Management.

Proven experience in crowd management or event security at a managerial level.
